Yoga therapy offers a gentle, steadying way to support your system and reconnect with a sense of safety and ease.
Common stress and anxiety challenges you may be facing
- Racing thoughts or difficulty switching off
- Tightness in the chest, jaw, shoulders, or belly
- Shallow or restricted breathing
- Feeling on edge, overwhelmed, or easily startled
- Sleep disruption linked with worry or tension
How yoga therapy can support you in times of stress and anxiety
This work is gentle, accessible, and paced to meet you where you are. It isn’t about complicated techniques or pushing through. We focus on calming the nervous system, releasing held tension, and restoring a sense of grounded presence.
- Breath practices that calm the nervous system and gently lengthen the exhale
- Simple, mindful movement to release held tension in the neck, shoulders, and back
- Grounding awareness to bring attention into the present moment
- Soft sound and humming to soothe and settle via the vagus nerve
- Restorative rest and guided relaxation to invite deep settling
Over time, these practices help your body–mind remember balance. Stress responses ease, sleep can improve, and clarity begins to return.
A supportive 6-session stress & anxiety pathway
Stress and anxiety often shift most sustainably through regular, gentle support rather than one-off sessions. I usually recommend beginning with a short series of six sessions.
- Weekly sessions at the start to establish safety, grounding, and nervous-system regulation
- Gradual layering of practices to support resilience without overwhelm
- Monthly follow-up sessions (as needed) to integrate changes and maintain balance
This approach allows steadiness to develop over time, at a pace your system can trust.
Simple home practices to support calm
You’ll be guided in short, practical practices to use between sessions — such as breathing techniques, grounding awareness, or brief restorative rest. These are designed to support calm without becoming another task or obligation.
A simple calming practice:
- Place one hand on your chest and one on your belly
- Inhale gently through the nose
- Exhale slowly, as if sighing through the whole body
- Repeat for 3–6 rounds, letting the out-breath lengthen a little each time
- Notice any small shifts — a softer jaw, easier shoulders, a touch more space
