Vocal Sound Healing — Aftercare

Vocal Sound Healing — Aftercare

Vocal sound healing is like a sonic massage — gentle vibrations travel through the body, soothing, loosening, and sometimes bringing awareness to what has been held.

After a session, your system may continue to adjust and rebalance for a short while. This is a natural part of integration, as the body and nervous system settle into a new rhythm.

What you may notice

  • A deep sense of rest, calm, or lightness
  • Emotions moving or softening as they find expression
  • Gentle physical sensations as the body releases tension
  • A need for extra rest, quiet, or slower pacing for a day or two

These responses vary from person to person. They are signs that your system is processing and integrating the work in its own way.

Self-care suggestions

  • Hydrate well — drink plenty of water to support integration and gentle release
  • Rest — allow space for quiet time and good sleep where possible
  • Avoid rushing — give yourself time before returning to busy or demanding activity
  • Nourish — choose warm, grounding foods, spend time in nature, and listen to what your body asks for
  • Notice — if feelings, memories, or sensations arise, meet them gently and without judgement

A gentle reminder

Every person responds differently, and healing unfolds at its own pace. There is no right or wrong way to experience this work.

If it feels supportive, you may wish to note down any dreams, feelings, or insights that arise — not to analyse them, but simply to acknowledge what has moved.
