There comes a time when we realise we do not want to spend the rest of our lives preparing to live.
Now is the time.
Much of your life may have been spent becoming who you needed to be. Adapting, caring for others and finding your way through.
You may also have spent many years healing and making sense of what you carried through your life, your lineage and perhaps from further back than you can name.
You have not come through all these years simply to keep looking backwards.
There is life in you asking to be lived now.
From healing to living
The grounding and healing of your earlier years have prepared you for this.
The years of healing may have revealed glimpses of your strength, creativity and magnificence. Now it is time to embody the fullness of who you are.
There is more of you to live.
The energy once used to survive, make sense of the past and meet the needs of others can begin to return to you. It may come as a renewed desire to create, speak more honestly, follow an inner calling or live in a way that feels more fully your own.
The time of the Wise Woman
This transition may begin in your fifties with menopause and continue through your sixties and seventies. It is the movement towards elderhood and into the time of the Wise Woman or Crone.
Changes in the body and relationships, illness and loss, children leaving home and retirement can deepen your awareness that time is precious.
Rather than being a time of inevitable decline, these years can bring you closer to what matters, awaken parts of you that have been waiting for attention and open into a time of creativity, spiritual depth and growing inner authority.
Now is the time to ask how you want to live the years that remain.
The body as mentor and teacher
Your body has been with you through every part of the journey.
It knows what you have carried, how you learned to survive and what you may now be ready to leave behind.
The patterns it developed helped you adapt, protect yourself and keep going. Some of them may no longer be needed.
As your relationship with your body changes, it can become a mentor and teacher on a deeper, more embodied spiritual path.
The Wise Woman is not someone you need to become.
She is the woman beneath everything you once needed to be.
She is calling you to live fully as her.
